In the Netherlands several organizations -non professional and professional- provide in theoretical schooling to become a dog trainer. The practical side of the dog training, though, is rarely discussed in depth. Teacher Basic Dog Training
Godfried Dols trained for more than 15 years people to become dog trainer in his team. In the education "Teacher Basic Dog Training" Godfried developed you learn to teach for groups of dog owners in courses.  Addressed subjects amongst others are knowledge of dog breeds, methodologies of exercises, dog behavior, didactics, conditioning principles, conversation skills in interviewing and customer relations and treatment. The training consists of self-study  with broad support and extended practical supervising. The practical training takes about 1 year, depending on the personal commitment and time investment. After certification, you're able independently to teach educational courses of dog owners. When sufficiently aptitude you can be invited to develop your skills further.

Practically traineeship Behavioral Therapy
This traineeship is a unique and valuable addition to anyone who works with dogs. Semi-pro or professional. The internship is a "boost" for teachers and students Behavioral Therapy who want to acquire experience. This covers include: Tellington TTouch, Dance for two, flower essences, Touch for Health, conversation skills in interviewing, management and vision of relational problems. The topics and duration of the internship can be tailored to suit. 

Caredog® Volunteer team The Caredog Foundation was founded by Godfried Dols. He trains motivated people to become certified Petdog Caredog-teams in the Netherlands, similar to Pet-partner of the Delta Society in the USA.

Of course, you must be committed to working with people in your care. In addition, you must have a dog who after being trained, is suitable to work with you as a Pet-Dog care team. Operational areas are people with Alzheimer's disease, people with learning disabilities, somatic or mental health issues. Each dog is tested in advance for suitability. There are no breed limits. The training and internship last approximately one year.
