Types of treatment Specific Knowledge and Training aquired by Godfried Dols
Since Godfried began his practice as a behavior counselor and therapist, he has continued to further his education and insight. Not only has he studied problem behaviors in dogs, but also in cats. Godfried has studied and pursued his education in the areas of evolutionary theory, psychology, psychotherapy, professional communication, and complementary medicine. His diverse and eclectic education has yielded a surprising combination of therapy, methods, and visions. He has integrated this diverse knowledge into his specific views on the relationship between humans and animals. Below is a summary and overview of possible treatment modes available. There is no chronological order to the summary.

Godfried Dols CPDT
Beginning in 1990, Godfried Dols began enrolling in and studying with different organizations to become a well rounded dog trainer. He was also schooled as a fly ball instructor, agility instructor, and a frisbee instructor for dogs. |
In the years that followed, Godfried became an expert in teaching others about the human animal relationship and also as a dog trainer. After learning about clicker training at a seminar given by John Fisher, UK (now deceased), he introduced the method to the Netherlands. Today, clicker training is fully integrated in all courses taught at the Godfried Dols Pet Dog School. He is certified Pet dog Trainer CPDT and listed as a professional member of the APDT , USA.
Preliminary Training Judging 'Dog's Exterior'
In 1990, Godfried also took part in a preliminary training which taught him how to judge the exterior of dogs entered in dog shows. Judging the outward appearance of a dog is actually based on knowledge of the dog's interior, especially it's bone structure and skeleton. This training yielded many interesting insights into the mechanical properties of the animal body and the impact on its' gait.
Global paramedic Kynologic Knowledge
In 1990, Godfried participated in and received a diploma from a course entitled Kynologic Knowledge. Kynology is a broad term referring to the science of dogs. This course included information pertaining to dog breeds, genetics, medical concerns, as well as basic dog behavior. One of the more interesting and fun facts is that years later, the book "Dog Language from Inside", written by Godfried Dols, would be required reading for this course's exam.
Behavioral therapy for dogs and cats
In 1994, Godfried Dols trained to become a behavior therapist for dogs. One year later, he became an independent self employed therapist and opened his own clinic in the southern Netherlands. In 1996, Godfried took the initiative to become one of the founders of Alpha, the Dutch foundation of dog therapists. Recently, Godfried disaffiliated himself with the Alpha foundation because of their dogmatic vision of behavioral dog therapy. Due to Godfried's daily treatment with problem canine behavior, he gained much experience in a short amount of time In 2001 Godfried attended an additional training for problem feline behavior. More recently, he began working with horses, rabbits, and guinea pigs on their behavioral issues. In his work with animals, Godfried employs a combination of various therapy options based on the need of the animal. Godfried has become well known for his powerful, clear vision of the relationship between man and animal. He has combined his knowledge and experience into one dynamic vision. Therapy based on this vision has proven to be extremely successful.

Master Healing
The one led to the next. In 2006 and 2007 he attended a spiritual training to become Masterhealer. Here he learned among other things the how and why of the termination of the transitions of the fourth to the fifth and sixth dimension. Also he learned to make contact with spiritual Masters, Guides and Helpers from 'the other side'. |
In spiritual healingsessies he asked for their help to heal the person who turned to him. The one that goes through it will experience it as a deep spiritual and soothing happening. Life is then often turn lighter at the conclusion of their session.

Psychognomy
Psychognomy is also known as the knowledge of the sculpture of the face. It is based on phrenology, a method of determining personality traits based on the bumps and fissures of one's skull. Phrenology was popular in the 1800's. Based on the principles of psychognomy, we can determine one's strengths, |

weaknesses, and talents, as well as how one can use these talents to achieve their goals. It may even become clear what talent shown in your skull is restraining you from achieving your goals. Understanding the forces between the various properties shown in your skull and face may help you to achieve clarity about yourself. Thus, enabling you to move forward and achieve your goals.
Tellington TTouch practitioner
Tellington TTouch is a method which consists of two parts; TTouches and groundwork. The TTouches are circular movements made with the fingers or the whole hand. There are a variety of very soft circular movements used on various parts of the body. The effect of the TTouches is that they wake the consciousness of the body and mind. There is an increased awareness even on a cellular level. The body seems to sense the TTouches and reacts by sending increased awareness to that specific spot. This creates an opportunity for change on a physical, mental, and emotional level. Groundwork ensures, among other things, exercises for better physical and emotional balance as well as improved awareness of physical coordination. Many dogs will pull on the leash, bark and jump at other dogs, or even show aggression towards other dogs. Many training approaches are minimally effective at correcting these annoying and unacceptable behaviors. Even some of the training approaches that target these behaviors are unacceptable dog training methods.

The Tellington TTouch method works without force or coercion. Even insecure, anxious, or stressed dogs can be helped quite well with this method. Our experience shows that even very aggressive dogs can surprisingly change their behaviors quickly and without punishment or a harsh approach. Often times you will see a huge turnaround in a dog's behavior after one session. Leash walking is also improved with Tellington TTouch. Owner and dog learn how to walk together vs. the dog walking the owner. The dog will learn not to pull on the leash, and the owner and dog will learn to walk together in sync. The owner initiates the start of the walk and the dog is given the opportunity to go along with the owner, rather than the dog being forced or coerced to walk. It is a truly remarkable experience to witness and at times quite emotional to see that this type of change is truly possible.
Professional communication
This training introduces various parts of the modern psychtherapie together; Transactional Analysis, Neuro Lynguïstic Programming and Systemic Works. "Knowing what you're doing and do what you know" is a basic principle in this training. In addition, preparations are underway with pricipes from other schools, such as Gestalt, Hypnotherapy, Kwantumpsychology, Psycho Analysis and Ridhwan-School. Being certified you can work in management training, team developping, healthcare ad counselling.

Tibetan singing bowl Healing
The sounds and primarily the vibrations of the singing bowl stimulate all of the senses and touch every fiber of the human body. This forms a primal connection to a broader awareness. It is a penetrating and spiritual experience. Tibetan singing bowls have upper and under tones which are emphasized by rubbing the top of each bowl. This gives the bowl it's specific sound. Each note or sound corresponds with a specific Chakra, or energy center in the body. For each chakra, a bowl of a certain pitch is used. Godfried purchases his bowls from highly endowed and specialized people. The bowls are of exceptionally high quality and are carefully selected to match the human chakras.

Reiki master
Since his youth, Godfried demon-strated a special gift of healing through the use of his hands, "energy hands". Not until years later did he realize what that could mean and the possibilities it offered. In 2005 and 2006, he trained to become a Reiki master and harness his energy to help heal others. |
As a Reiki master, Godfried is able to pass his cosmic healing energy to animals and humans. This marked the start of Godfried's individual work with people, minus their animals.
Petdog partner Delta Society Petdog Partner Delta Society in 2005, Godfried and his Australian Shepard Dito, attended the Pet Partner training provided by the Delta Society and became a certified team (ID:AL-NL-1010Al). Three years earlier, he established and became executive director of the Care Dog Foundation in the Netherlands. The foundation, under his supervision, schools people and their dogs to become a Care Dog Team. This is the Dutch equivalent of the Delta Society's Pet Partner team. Certified Care Dog Team volunteers carry out their wonderful work in institutions for mentally/physically disabled people, elderly people with Alzheimer's disease, Korsakov disease, people with Down syndrome or Autism spectrum, and youth with social and or psychiatric issues.
Touch for Health practitioner
Kinesiology is the energetic, emotional, and physical balancing of people and animals through muscle testing. It is known worldwide and is applied both in mainstream medicine and also in alternative medicine. One of the therapy techniques using kinesiology is called Touch for Health. Godfried uses this method in his practice with people to help them with their emotional, physical, mental and spiritual problems. Another application for Touch for Health is to test animal owners to find out what are the needs of their animals. For example, Godfried tests to find out what mix of flower essences he can use for dealing with the animal's problem. Doing so, he can easily influence aggression caused by trauma, through treating the trauma.
Therapist of Flower Essences
 |
Flower esssences may be of different origin. Godfried works mainly with Australian, Dutch, Bach, Dawn and Promises Flower essences. |
Flower blossoms (essences) are very beautiful and easy to work with. Flower essences are safe and natural and can be used in conjunction with other alternative therapies.
Godfried predominately combines flower essences with applied kinesiology. By testing the human or animal to be treated with kinesiology, he can determine more accurately which flower essences to use. This method is more exact than simply finding the answers in the written literature. Flower sences originate from many different places. Godfried works mainly with Australian, Dutch, Bach, Dawn and Promise flower essences. Each type has a different number of essences; the Australian flower essences are based on 65 flower species, the Dutch on 35 different essences, and the better know Bach remedies include 38 different flower species. Each essence has it's own characteristics and it's own healing properties.
Flower essences, for example, may be used with issues of grief, feeling burdened or overwhelmed with life, resentment, as well as difficulties with the termination of a close relationship. Once Godfried has determined the correct combination of essences for a particular human and/or animal, he sends you home with the essences so that you may begin your healing process. Flower essences are completely safe, have no unwanted side effects and are not addictive. They can be used by adults, children, animals, and even plants. Although the curative process is mild and noninvasive, the effects are often great.
Syn Alia Training Systems Trainer (cetified)
Certified trainer Syn Alia Training Systems Syn Alia Training Systems, also known as SATS, was developed and copyrighted in 1991 in the USA by Kayce Cover. Syn Alia stands for SYNergetische ALIAntie. The starting point of SATS is the conclusion of the alliance, on a voluntary basis, making the combined human-animal is more than the sum of its parts. SATS stands for a positive training, involving communications from human to animal and from animal to humans and the animal as little as possible is forced. SATS consists of several parts; Intermediate and terminal Bridge (kind of clicker-like signalling), Target, Naming, Conditioned Relaxation and Perception Modification. SATS is particularly suitable for training mammals, as well as domestic and wild animals in captivity. It is more effective and offers more training options than Clicker Training. Therefore, it is the most promising method for training complex behaviors in animals worldwide.
Wokshops and seminars
Over the years, Godfried has attended many workshops and seminars throughout Europe. Among other people, Godfried has met John Fisher, John Rogerson, Klaus Hempfling, Monty Roberts, Trumler, Martin Gaus, Susan Cloutier, and Bruce Fogle. Most recently, Godfried attended the Project Pooch 101 seminar in Portland, Oregon, USA. He has been invited to Spain twice by AICEPA, a Spanish organization for assistance dogs.
